Synopsis

Rudina may be only fifteen but dreams of going to university and making something of her life. When her father is accused of murder after a neighbourly squabble over land ownership, the entire family is forced to accord to the dictates of the Kanun - a centuries old system of laws which prohibits any of her brothers from leaving their home. Forced with the responsibilities of her father's affairs, Rudina flourishes while her older brother gives in to anger and frustration and determines to put an end to the feud.
