Sóló Mia - a film by Javier Balaguer

Nominated: Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, Goya Awards

"Intense, gripping and timely."
- Jonathan Holland, Variety

It was love at first sight. In the beginning, Angela did everything she could for the sake of her undying love for Joaquin. When she became pregnant, they were both over the moon. Then, one day, things changed. At first he shouted at her and then he hit her. Things went from bad to worse after that. A rough day at the office was enough for him to give her his first severe beating - brutally so.

Angela filed for divorce. Joaquin defied the law and subjected her to the most ruthless harassment in his attempt to get her back.

Angela soon realized that her liberation had to come from within. So she confronted Joaquin, deciding to fight fire with fire.

Sóló Mia is a tale of love, betrayal and justice.

Javier Balaguer began his career as a professional press and fashion photographer.
